Insert cowl is a beginner-friendly pattern, suitable for scrap yarns – work the cowl as written or make some broad block stripes, small stripes in different colours, or no stripes at all. Insert cowl is worked in the round in stockinette stitch, with folded hems that are sewn in place afterward. An I-cord tie is threaded at the top edge.
